Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Idris Elba is

Srimannarayana - Review

If only the directors and producers Balayya works with have the same zeal and passion, his movies, at least the last two would have done some wonders. This movie has a very promising story idea(a little borrowed from The law abiding citizen) , backdrop and technical crew but director gives this movie a b-grade treatment. Firstly, heroines don't need to look like c-grade actresses in Balayya movies. Remember Simran looked her best in Telugu in Balayya movies. Second you don't get a platform tailor to design clothes for Balayya.

Main plus of the movie is music by Chakri. Next comes some very good dialogues. This is a cakewalk role for him. Both heroines are wasted. Movie is bearable all the time, intelligent at times and logical even few times, but from when did we expect logic in Masala entertainers. In this Balayya does a long dance shot in yellow costume, please kill that choreographer or else he would make Balayya do another Vijayendra Varma. He is on right track now and once he gets the right director, I am sure he will hit the bullseye one more time like Simha.
