Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Idris Elba is

Shirdi Sai(Telugu) review

If you are a Sai Devotee, don't read any further. You will definitely watch the movie irrespective of any review. That is the biggest asset of the film, Sai Devotees. So if you are still reading, I take it you are not a Sai Devotee. So let's move forward. This movie in no way would challenge your non-belief on Sai Baba. For that please try the old movie.

Coming to this movie, it starts off well with "Amara ram" song with Sai abhishekam, followed by Dathatreya charithra and how Sai Baba is a form of Dathatreya. What then follows is a long list of disjointed, superficial scenes of Sai Mahima. They neither elevate the Baba character nor the mood of the movie. This continues till the interval.

Post interval the movie falls in track and finally looks like a movie, but not a great one though. I know my credibility is doubted when I say this but then it is something everyone might agree. Nag is the top most best thing that ever happened to this movie. KRR direction is shaky. Screenplay is worse to just ok. Music, a huge asset to many devotional movies in general, is the biggest let down. The moment you step out of the theater, you are more concerned that Deepu's "Manava seve" is not there in the movie, than the concern that you can't recollect one good song from the ones you have just watched. All the actors including Nag tried their best to keep the movie afloat and they are the ones that deserve the appreciation. Second comes the length of the movie that makes the movie very light on you. None of the two death scenes are as touching as the most of the reviews say but they are just good. Nag, please stop giving credit where it is not due. KRR may be deserves credit but he is a bit outdated. Keeravani definitely does not.

You either need Sradha(Faith) or little bit Sabhuri(Patience) to watch this movie. If you don't have either, skip it and Sai Baba won't punish you. Give your two rupees/dollars to a temple or a homeless person instead.
