Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Street Dancer 3D - Review

I wanted to like ABCD. The promotion material itself was disappointing. Then I thought they learnt the lesson with ABCD 2 but again it was disappointing me. But right from the first day of promotions of Street Dancer 3D, okay may be not from the first day, this time I hoped against hope that this would be it. And at last, it is.

Street Dancer 3D is the dance movie that India can call its own. It has the right choreography but most importantly it has a very true to soul kind of story to it. The execution could have gone haywire and the whole product could have come out cheesy but it does not. It works and at times it works wonders.

Shraddha Kapoor is the star of the movie. She performs, she dances and she carries the movie. I was not sure if showing Prabhu Deva out of shape was intentional but it would have been better if he was in shape. Varun does a role with slight negative shades and he does not ruin it. He is okay and his dance skills are already proven. Rest of the dancers are all top notch. Everyone hold their ground well especially in songs.

Coming to the songs, each song is a gem. You will sit up in your seats every time a song is about to start. By the time the climax arrives you are well into the movie but be warned to check your goosebumps for the climax song.
