Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Geetha Govindam - Review

There is a scene in the movie where Rashmika as Geetha says "How can anyone not fall for you after seeing you say "madam madam madam please madam"!" to Vijay aka Govind. That's precisely why you should watch this movie. Vijay is super cute and adorable in a role similar to that of Pelli Choopulu. Vijay's fans aka Rowdies can now leave this review and go enjoy the movie while I talk about some technical details.

Geetha Govindam is a perfectly packaged movie with a star actor, a good looking actress, a blockbuster album, a hit director and big production house. It is bound to work and will work. But if only it took care of its shortcomings it would have become a huge hit. Movie starts off shaky and rushed. Once the bus episode starts the movie falls into the groove and you will fall in love with the movie. What follows after that is also nice and adorable. But the problem is that the scenes keep repeating and second half feels like a drag. Vennela Kishore's entry is too cliched and so is the ending. The whole thread of Kishore looks straight out of Chalo.

Vijay like I said before is so adorable and even cute. The role is kind of same as Pelli choopulu but with more cuteness. Rashmika is limited to one expression throughout the movie and when the song Yenti yenti starts, it feels so refreshing to see her change the expression. She looked hot in scenes where needed too. Rahul Ramakrishna gets another decent comedy role. Comedy by him and Kishore works in parts. Music is a major plus for the movie except the forgetful "What the liFe" song and its visuals.

Overall, watch it for Vijay's cuteness and the lead pair chemistry in the first half.

    Super movie. Every one(young family and old) can watch it.Rashmika is very cute without crossing limits (no exposing).viajay devarakonda is also very handsome.He acted very well. Heroine action is also fine.
