Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Agnyaathavaasi - Review


Pawan and Trivikram is the most successful combination in Telugu cinema. So when it's time for Agnyaathavaasi, audience expect fireworks. But please don't. If I have to list Agnyaathavasi in the list of Trivikram's movies, I would position it almost towards the end of the list.

Movie story is good but first half does not have any story until the interval scene, which is very good interval block. Second half starts on the right note with some good scenes, a good flashback and 10 minutes of hilarious comedy. But after that the movie goes down the hill till the climax, which is a very weak climax.

Keerthy and Anu are good in their roles but in second half they are used only for songs. Rao Ramesh and Murali Sharma did good. Aadi as villain is good. Kushboo suited the role well and performed good. Pawan is in his usual elements and infuses life into the 10 minutes comedy episode in second half. But he needs to focus on his styling and makeup more. Especially in the scene where Aadi meets Pawan in board meeting, Aadi is dressed well while Pawan looks not so millionaire-ish. Anirudh's BGM is good especially in pre-interval scenes. Production values are top notch.

I am not exaggerating when I say that you will walk out of the theater and will not remember even a single dialogue from this movie directed by Trivikram. Movie is strictly okay. Pawan fans will watch it nevertheless but others won't be missing much if they skip this one.

    I’m sorry to say, may be you went to watch movie on a high expectation, go and see withought any and you’ll Like it. Yes it is not what we all have seen in the past from Trivikram and Pawan combo. But it’s not the least as you said in trivkrams list. His way of handling the script and pawans charisma was excellent in a given time limit. Because of the story that was chosen he couldn't Put every missing detail in the movie and had to edit.
