Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Andhadhun - Review(Available in Netflix)

Welcome back Sriram Raghavan to your favorite genre, crime thriller. Andhadhun is still second best movie of Sriram Raghavan and that in itself is a great thing when you consider that the first best is Johnny Gaddaar.

Coming to Andhadhun, this is a very cryptic movie.

*Spoiler alert*

You can understand this movie in many ways. There is one story narrated by Ayushman. There is one he didn't say and considering the kind of person he is, that story could be many things. Once you watch the movie, just question yourself, what if this whole movie is a complete lie. Also lookup playboys logo before you watch the movie if you already don't know that. A director like Sriram Raghavan who meticulously adds details to his movies leaves out what happened to the cop in the lift. That is a hint. Do not ignore it. Every little detail used and every little detail ignored is either a hint or detail used to mislead. So put on your thinking hats and watch the movie is a focused mood.

All this said and done Andhadhun is a very intelligent movie and you can comprehend it according to your perspective and your understanding of the genius Sriram Raghavan and trust me he is one genius often ignored in Bollywood and in Andhadhun he is in top gear. So give into the genius and let him sway you away or sit up and watch more closely.
