Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Justice League - Review

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

 I just came out of a theater playing Justice League, I mean "The" Justice League and I do not feel the "the". That is the first major problem of this movie. For beginners, Justice League is big, much bigger than Avengers and X-Men together. But the makers do not seem to believe it. It looks like a namesake movie made just for being made. The oomph and the aura is totally missing. There are few shots of brilliance here and there like the song where people telling byes to Superman or the few Flash scenes or Flash and Superman face-off etc. But those are only the minuscule parts of the movie. The could have been major highlight scenes are all a big let down. The time the Aquaman completes Justice League or even the Superman joining Justice League totally lack the substance that are awe-worthy. That is what kills the movie. The climax is totally out of a Telugu commercial cinema.

Overall, let's just hope someone abler reboots this franchise and brings the glory back to Justice League. This is not "The" Justice League we need or we want, this is just what the current makers could come up with. There is a sound of sigh somewhere in there.
