Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Khakee (Telugu) - Review

Phewwww!!!! That sums up my reaction for this water tight and very gripping intense crime drama. All credit to the writers. What brilliant narration it was. The subject at hand was dealt with very efficiently with right amounts of research gone into it. The terrifying villains and Karthi's role's struggle to catch them is shown brilliantly. I am already running out of adjectives for this review. One minor hiccup is that this movie might not be suitable for kids. There are some violent murders and very menacing looking villains, the type that nightmares are usually made of. Karthi lived the role. His acting, his voice over and his body language suited the role very well. He is a total natural in the movie. The intro of Abhimanyu Singh will surely send chills down your spine and of course many more scenes too. Rakul is apt for the role and looked very cute. The songs are pleasant and placed aptly to balance the tense moments and in turn increase the tension. I can use the idiom "hearts into the mouth" to explain the movie by the time it reaches interval.

No second thoughts, if you want a very well made crime drama, look no further. It doesn't get better than this.
