Suicide Squad

Off late, all major super heroes are following what Uncle Ben told Peter Parker "With great power comes great responsibility." and it was getting all boring with all the righteous battles they were waging instead of fighting villains. So people badly needed a bad-ass super hero. That's why Deadpool was lapped up by everyone and that is different Comic-verse. Suicide Squad takes it to the next level. A completely over the top gang of bad lawless people trying to fight a bigger evil is the setup of Suicide Squad. It is a totally bad-ass film with perfect combination of the evil people and good action and graphics.

The only minor complaint I have with the movie is it's background score. It should have been more kick-ass as the one which Zack Snyder is famous for when he is directing. The best thing about the movie is it's art direction. Couple of scenes impress you with the minute detailing involved in shot making like the scene where Joker is waiting for news of Harley Quinn or the scene where they both emerge from the acid. Both are visually stunning but not totally VFX. It involved lot of prep and creativity behind those scenes.

Jared Leto as the Joker, though in a small role, was a total revelation. He could be called one of the best jokers and would love to see him more in this role. Harley Quinn's role is well-written and Margot Robbie did pretty good in her role of lifetime. Rest of the cast, including Will Smith were good too. The movie for once brings the cocky and corny dialogues into DC universe and that too in correct proportions. DC was taking it's super heroes too seriously and Suicide Squad is a welcome change in the right direction. Super heroes need to have some fun too and Suicide Squad is that, all fun.
