Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Heart Attack(Telugu) review

Businessman, Devudu chesina manushulu, Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu, Iddarammayiltho and now Heart Attack from director Puri Jagannadh. To put in bluntly, now Businessman feels like a classic movie. Heart attack is a combination of  "jobless" hero, a heroine, heroine falls for the weird demands and antics of a hero, villain wants heroine and how hero beats the villain and gets the heroine is the story. Jobless hero with weirdness is always the case with Puri's heroes. Villain wanting the heroine is the case with Puri's villains in many movies starting from Itlu Sravani Subramiam, Pokiri, Neninthe, Desamuduru etc. And finally heroine falling for weirdness is there in Idiot, Pokiri, Businessman, Desamuduru, Devudu chesina manushulu etc. So what is new in this movie? Nitin's getup and 1 hour+ long lip kiss which runs for around 1 minute. But does these make this movie look fresh from any angle? Nope. Does it make this a decent watch at least? Nope. Let me just say, you would feel bored even if you watch this movie relaxing at home. How is this movie a hit? I don't know. My guess is Nitin's track record may be. But this one is surely a major disappointment from Nitin and of course expected from Puri. Nitin was good. But Adah who did an awesome job in 1920 looked totally out of place and her dubbing voice did not help. This new dubbing artist Veena(grand daughter of legend Ghantasala) who did dub for Lavanya in Andala Rakshasi has a very peculiar voice that suited that movie but might not suit all roles. Brahmi and Ali, two regulars in Puri's movies did very regular stuff. I have this strong feeling that actors don't watch director's previous films before accepting their movie. But I hope they watch them and do save us from this worst form of deja vu.
