Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Ala Vaikuntapuramlo - Review

Man oh man, this is how it looks like when Guruji Trivikram is in full form. Full form as in the best form ever in his directing career. In other words, Ala Vaikuntapuramlo is Guruji's best movie till date.

Movie starts off on an interesting note with some interesting plot point. Once that is done and Bunny is introduced, movie becomes a perfectly packaged movie. Scene after scene the punches in the dialogues, the music in the songs, the dances of Bunny and the perfectly choreographed fights all entertain you throughout.

Bunny is in top form and he steals the show. He looks stylish justifying his title. He looks like he put on a bit of weight but his mannerisms and action are all perfect. Murali Sharma got an interesting role and he did good. Rest of the cast is all perfect. Everyone including Tabu, Sachin, Jayram, Pooja, Sushanth, Kishore, Sunil, Harsha, Navdeep, Rahul etc did perfectly well in their roles.

Thaman is in top form too. The songs are top notch like we already know and the bgm is in perfect sync with the movie. Then the fights are perfect. I would say these fights are as good as if not better than the Jalsa fights. There are many highlights in the movie and the boardroom scene is a few notches high. Literal "Poonakaalu" scene.

Overall, no questions asked, just watch it. Guruji, Bunny, Thaman and Ram-Lakshman are in top form.
