Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Idris Elba is...

Temper - NTR

Taking Aashish Vidyarthi in a corrupt cop role and making us hate him is very easy. But taking NTR in that role and take it to the extent where audience hate him is no easy task. It needs some good conviction and brilliant acting. That's what happens in Temper. NTR in first half is a very mean corrupt cop who is very ably supported by an honest Posani. So the triumph of the script is when this mean bad person turns into a good person, then makes the other bad guys pay and do some sacrifices. In the end since killing hero is not allowed and it is not justice, the makers take a easy route out in the form of a very cliched climax twist. All done and when you step out of theater the one thing that stays with you is the acting intensity of NTR. His acting in this movie is top class, a class which we have not seen in ages. Second best role of the movie is Posani. Even he comes in a very different role for a change and a very good role. BGM by Mani Sharma is a major plus and songs are also picturized well. NTR in choolenge song does a very controlled subdued dancing which is not his usual style and that is very impressive. And Temper title song is his usual steps but well choreographed. Content wise first half is without much story and second half is a roller coaster ride of emotions. My favorite scene in the movie is NTR's first scene with Bharani. NTR acted very ruthless in that scene. You will hate him for that and that's how he wins his audience. Overall it is not totally a different script but a brilliant actor as a hero makes it a brilliant watch. A must watch for all Telugu movie lovers to see the true potential of a Telugu actor(not star not hero).
