Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Asura Review

Asura's trailer can be termed as one of the best trailers in Telugu cinema in recent times. And everyone hoped the content would definitely live up to the expectations the trailer had set. And the director coming from Dev Katta camp is also another thing to look forward to. So Asura in a small section of movie lovers raised the expectations so much. And thankfully it meets those. Not just for that small section but wider set of audience as well. It is a simple story elevated very well with very classy subtle direction, interesting screenplay, background music matching the mood of the movie, very good songs and also good poetry here and there. Nara Rohith's voice is his biggest plus. He is an actor who knows his limitations very well and trying to reap benefits out of that limited talent. As of now his script selection is helping his career and hope he widens his talent(and not physique anymore) from here on too. He should be appreciated for all the different movies he has done till date except Rowdy Fellow. Overall this is a very good class action thriller that would suit the new gen movie lovers taste and a movie that subtly stresses on why you should know Telugu to watch a Telugu movie.
