Aagadu Review

Gulab Jamoon or Rasgulla or Laddu are awesome sweets. But there is something as too much of them. Same way Mahesh Babu is an awesome actor but Aagadu proves that there is also something called too much of him. Mahesh is present in all the scenes except the flashback scenes. And adding to it, in more often that not he is delivering very lengthy dialogues. The dialogues are well written but may be for a novel where the reader can pause and read the lines so many times to understand them. Here it is kind of very tough to follow in some instances. Coming to the story of the movie, there is none that interests you. It is a commercial kichdi this time by Srinu Vytla. Movie has resemblances to so many movies including Dookudu and Gabbarsingh. Second half very irritatingly reminds you of too much of Dookudu. Only change is MS role is done by Brahmi, Brahmi role by Tamannah family and Siva Reddy role by Mumtaz(No I am not kidding). First half of the movie is very good. Second half is a huge kichdi gone partially wrong. But if you can sit back, shut your brain and just let Brahmi entertain you then you can sit through the second half. Comedy becomes very repetitive after a while. With Sainikudu Mahesh tried to repeat Okkadu. With Businessman, Pokiri and now with Aagadu, Dookudu. Luckily Aagadu works to an extent. If you can call Tamannah a heroine in this, you might as well call Shruthi Hassan second heroine. Both have equally (un)important roles. Now read my review again and see how it all looks very patchy. That's how exactly Aagadu is. I feel very disappointed to say a Mahesh Babu movie, Aagadu joins the league of Nayak, Balupu, Mirchi, Badshah etc commercial kichidi movies. If you liked any of these, you wont be disappointed by Aagadu and then there is Mahesh as a bonus, who looks like a billion bucks.
