Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. Sreekaram - Movie Review

Streaming: SunNXT

Sreekaram from its promotions to its release it all went so fast, no one would have even noticed missing this movie if not for the Bhalegundi bala song. 

Let me just say it up front, Sreekaram is a good movie. It is a very emotional narration of a son who wants to return to his roots of farming while all the adults want him away. My only problem with this movie is a 80s-ish villany in form of Sai Kumar. 

Rao Ramesh and Naresh are outright brilliant in their roles. Rest of the female cast that play the pinnis or peddamma or athas in the village are good too. Sharwa is a decent actor but he needs to work on his charm. More often than not he is being just like a prop on the set. He does his job of delivering the dialogues well but does not make the audience root for him or carry him home after the movie is done. That is the role of a good protagonist. 

The father son relation in this movie is handled with utmost subtlety and that works in favor of the movie. Rao Ramesh gives one of his best performances. 

Music is pretty good. The second half seems like too easy and impractical but it compensates it with the brutal honesty. Priyanka Arul Mohan is does not have much role and so does Murali Sharma.

Overall, Sreekaram is a decently made Maharshi with so many touching emotions.

    Same Director did a short film in the title as SREEKARAM in 2016 , after that maharshi released in 2019 ,so maharshi is decently made from sreekaram only ,

    Apart from that it's shows a fresh reality content ,starts from beginning & to good watch with family
