Suicide Squad 2 - Movie Review

Streaming: HBOMAX Suicide Squad 1 was one of the finest DC movies(Minus Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy) to come out from their camp. Do not go by the reviews. It was so well received that Harley Quinn had her own movie. Now cut to Suicide Squad 2 with the famous James Gunn from Marvel camp at the helm, it barely meets the expectations.  Marvel made it seem so easy to write a super hero movie in super entertaining fashion with movies like Winter Soldier, Thor Ragnorak, Guardians of the Galaxy etc. But DC thought all they needed was the guy who directed Guardians to sell Suicide Squad. Oh my oh my how they were wrong. In one phrase, Suicide Squad is a gross mess that shines few times and far in between. Suicide Squad is no Guardians, not even close. The screenplay is messy. The visuals are gross but it aint Kill Bill. Kill Bill romanticizes with violence but Suicide Squad tries to romanticize with gross elements. To say the least, it doesn't work in favor of the movie. World Famous Lover - Review

Side effects of contraceptive pills are headaches, mood disturbances, frustration and sadness. I am not saying WFL gives you all that. It's just that the whole movie story starts off with that and that is the reason of Raashi Khanna's outburst.

It feels so nice to see performers in Telugu cinema like Vijay, Raashi and Aishwarya. But what is sad is that not many are using them to make a brilliant movie. World Famous Lover fails totally, I stress totally, in that aspect. Raashi showed enough promise in her performance but her role needed more dimensions and more perspective. Instead WFL is an outrageous and strenuous narration of a concept, the writer Kranthi Madhav felt as out of the world. But unfortunately for the audience it is not.

When you venture into narrating a love story that has pain in it, you have to go all in like Aashiqui 2 but if you can not then it becomes a painful watching of a love story. That is what is WFL.

And yes I agree VD should stop doing love stories if he is offered stories like World Famous Lover. There are good concepts executed bad and then there is WFL, where an outrageous concept is badly executed.

    Well, movie was a big miss-fire nd a big disaster. Story was almost next level to be declared as a bad. No emotions with lots of overacting. South movies are known for the best story line up. But this was total useless nd wastage of time. It is better to face corona rather than to watch wfl
